To Mesquite, With Love

I have never been one to look down on anyone or to be conceited, but there is nothing in Mesquite for me. If my dreams could transport me anywhere it would not be to this little town where there are more marquees advertising churches than companies. This little town of mom and pop diners with regulars who all know each other has been a beautiful place to grow up, but not to establish as extravagant a life as I want for myself.

I have a pre-destined seat on Oprah's couch. 2010 doesn't have to be in a rush to get here though : ) I am going to live in New York, wear a petticoat, and complain about the terrible traffic with the seat warmers on in my Mazarati. I'll interview the pretty people and put them in my magazine that I worked my whole life for...sort of. That is, after I have become the most established journalist for Teen Vogue magazine. I'll wear the uniform- black; incognito in a cafe, sipping a caramel macchiato, and remembering Dallas, the place I want to forget right now. That's how it works right?

Obama jr-the embodiment of the American dream.

So, Mesquite? It's been real. Dallas? Definitely real-er. But it's tatted in the stars. Kay Digs is destined to change lives. The first one being mine. You'll know when I scratch that one off the list.
